In April 2019, Mr. Deinhofer commenced his role as a PhD student at our institute. He collaborates with Prof. Dr. Thomas Myrach, Prof. Dr. Tobias Häberlein, and Stefan Eggel, M.Sc., and heads the Technology Centre of the Information Systems Research Centre. Mr. Deinhofer specialises in examining the impacts, effects, and trends within contemporary digital societies.

Prior to commencing his doctoral studies, he completed a full-time Master's degree at the University of Innsbruck in Austria at the Institute of Information Systems. During his studies, he actively contributed to research activities at the University of Innsbruck as a student assistant. Additionally, he served as a business partner in the Uni Management Club of the University of Innsbruck. In advance to his academic pursuits, Mr. Deinhofer has gained experience in the field of information and communication technology, having completed an apprenticeship as an IT technician and worked for over a decade in the banking sector.

His primary research interests lie in the dynamics of digital societies and their interactions within (virtual) organisations such as higher education institutions and IT companies. His secondary research area encompasses understanding digital transformation in the workplace. He currently maintains close collaborations with institutions in Switzerland, particularly the Canton of Valais and the FFHS Fernfachhochschule Schweiz. Furthermore, he collaborates with international partners from Austria, Germany, and Italy to investigate the impacts and influences of virtual companies on organisations, enterprises, and networks.
