Multisourcing

Multisourcing

Immer mehr Organisationen setzen auf Multisourcing, d.h. sie lagern die Leistungen eines IT-Projekt an mehrere Dienstleister aus. Multisourcing verspricht den Zugriff auf spezialisiertes Wissen (Best-of-Breed) und zusätzlichen Wettbewerb unter den Dienstleistern. Gleichzeitig macht es die Koordination der vielen Leistungserbringer zu einer Herausforderung.

In diesem Forschungsprojekt gehen wir mehreren Fragen nach. Wir untersuchen, wie Koordination in grossen, komplexen Multisourcing-Projekten gelingen kann. Wir untersuchen auch, welche Rolle das so genannte Guardian-Modell spielt, d.h. ein Modell der Zusammenarbeit, bei dem ein Dienstleister für das Management der anderen Dienstleister veranwortlich ist. Ausserdem untersuchen wir, warum sich Organisationen für Multisourcing entscheiden.
